The Danish Club of Tucson is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the customs and history of Denmark. Our members are passionate about sharing our cultural heritage through events, activities, and educational programs. Rich cultural heritage

The rich cultural heritage of a nation is a reflection of its history, traditions, and customs that have been passed down from generation to generation. 

Denmark has the oldest flag in the world. 

In 1219, legend has it, the Danish flag fell from heaven during a battle in present-day Estonia, helping the Danish army to an unexpected victory.

Authentic Danish cuisine

Authentic Danish cuisine is characterized by its use of fresh ingredients, simple preparations, and emphasis on traditional dishes such as smørrebrød (ˈsmɜrəbryð), open-faced sandwiches that are built on a thin foundation of dense sourdough rye bread called rugbrød. The sandwiches are art worthy and our members are true artists! 

Frikadeller or Danish meatballs are a blend of meats and spices, often served with cooked sweet and sour red cabbage and potatoes.
