Services
The Danish Club of Tucson is dedicated to preserving and sharing the customs and history of Denmark. Our non-profit organization offers a variety of cultural events and educational programs for members and the community at our meetings. We provide services to groups in the Tucson area and outside of the Tucson area. We provide an avenue for like-minded people to work together for a common cause and support the mission of the club through direct services of in-kind donations goods or services and volunteerism through the name of the Danish Club of Tucson.
Examples of our in-kind goods contributions include donating dyed hardboiled eggs to local food pantries at Easter time and collecting and donating toys and gifts for a women and children's organization at Christmas time.
Come join us and experience the rich traditions of Denmark in the heart of Tucson.

Cultural events
Cultural events provide an opportunity for individuals to celebrate and appreciate diverse cultures, traditions, and art forms.
We enjoy events to celebrate holidays and coming together in the annual Jule Fest and Marketplace to share cultures, food, dancing, music, and crafts with all Scandinavian clubs in Tucson and out of town vendors.
November 2024 saw 550 people come to visit the Marketplace, enjoy children's stories and crafts, have a picture taken on a toboggan, and delight in an serving AEbelskiver, a Danish round buttermilk pancake. We sure do not mind as children and adults alike ask for an order of pancake balls, a much requested item.
Historical presentations
Historical presentations provide a visual and informative experience for club meeting attendees to learn about important events and figures from the past.
An example would be the Danish people saving the Jews in WWII. By the end of the war, over 95% of Denmark's nearly eight thousand Jews would escape Denmark, and avoid becoming victims of the Holocaust. This survival rate is extraordinary and an amazing example of the spirit of the Danes,
One of our members wrote an effective pamphlet on this topic.
Tucson is fortunate to have the Tucson Jewish Museum & Holocaust Center

Traditional food tastings
Traditional food tastings offer a unique opportunity to explore the flavors and cultural significance of dishes from Denmark.
The Danish Club of Tucson creates swoonworthy open faced sandwiches to kick off our fiscal year meetings. Explanations of the crafting of the sandwiches are provided, as needed.
